1944 – Herb Welch defeats The Yellow Scorpion to win the Tennessee World Junior Heavyweight Title in Nashville, Tennessee

1963 – Dominic Bravo & Ron Etchison defeat Mike Sharpe and Jim Wright for the Stampede International Tag Team Title in Calgary, Alberta

1969 – Ben Justice & Rocky Johnson defeat The Hell’s Angels (Paul & Ron Dupree) to win the Detroit NWA World Tag Team Title in Detroit, Michigan

1970 – Monster Rousimoff (Andre the Giant) & Michael Nader defeat Great Kusatsu and Thunder Sugiyama in Fukuoka, Japan for the vacant International Pro Wrestling World Tag Team Title. The title was vacated when Toyonobori, who had held the title with Strong Kobayashi, retired on January 9

1971 – Ivan Koloff defeats Bruno Sammartino to win the WWWF Title, ending Sammartino’s near 8 year reign (PHOTO)

1980 – Superstar Billy Graham defeated Mark Lewin to win the NWA Texas Brass Knuckles Title in Houston, Texas

1980 – Ernie Ladd defeats Mike Sharpe Jr to win the MSW Louisiana Title

1982 – Jerry Lawler defeated Dutch Mantel to win his 19th AWA Southern Heavyweight Title in Memphis, Tennessee

1986 – Scott Hall & Curt Hennig defeat Jimmy Garvin & Steve Regal to win the AWA World Tag Team Title in Albuquerque, New Mexico

1988 – Kengo Kimura & Tatsumi Fujinami defeat Kazuo Yamazaki & Yoshiaki Fujiwara to win the IWGP Tag Team Titles

1994 – Big Titan (Rick Bogner) & The Gladiator (Mike Awesome) defeated Katsutoshi Niiyama & Atsushi Onitata to become the 1st FMW World Brass Knuckles Tag Team Champion in Saitama, Japan

2003 – Brother Love defeats Jimmy Rave to win the NWA Junior Heavyweight Title

2004 – Dory Funk, Jr. defeated Adam Windsor in Ocala, Florida for the NWA North Florida Heavyweight Title

2004 – Kaz Hayashi & Satoshi Kojima defeat Arashi & Keiji Mutoh to win the AJPW Unified World Tag Team Titles
